Feminist performance art in East Berlin: Mad Kate at Monster Ronsons!

Mad Kate performs at Monster Ronsons Sept 20 2018 by Suzanne ForbesI was at Monster Ronsons last week for a double feature of performance artist Mad Kate and my friend Dawn’s band Das Fluff.

Mad Kate played the stripper pole, using a sensor on the bottom of their platform shoe. It was very, very cool. You can follow Mad Kate on twitter here, Instas here, and their website here.Mad Kate plays the stripper pole at Monster Ronsons Sept 20 2018 by Suzanne Forbes

The dance floor was full of beautiful young queer folx.

The joy, fury and strength of young queer people in Berlin! They are living their way into a better world, and it sustains me.

Witch Power at Dr. Sketchy’s Berlin.

Valentina Demonia as Baba Yaga by Suzanne Forbes Sept 23 2018 detailsI was sooooo excited about the Baba Yaga session at Dr. Sketchy’s Berlin.

And as always, LalaVox and Le Pustra came through with a gangbusters event. There were a variety of marvelous models in wonderful costumes, but in my current mood, I only had eyes for the witch.

Berlin performer Valentina DeMonia as Baba Yaga just thrilled me!

Valentina Demonia as Baba Yaga by Suzanne Forbes Sept 23 2018 It was so great to draw her in her cocoon of power and hair.
