When I draw someone, I always find myself caring for them.

Seeing them, every detail, with eyes of compassion. A throughline to the better angels of my nature.

It’s like a lens of mercy is placed over my usual impatient, irritable, judgemental self. Everyone I draw is so beautiful and interesting to me.
